Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre was established in the year 1985, and the Center is under the overall supervision of the Department of Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India and is headed by the Director. His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal is the chairman of the EZCC. It is a very popular place among tourists in Kolkata. Numerous fairs and festivals, seminars and symposia organized through out the year in this cultural centre. This place is closed on Sunday and on some maintainence days and on rest of the days it is opened between 10am to 6:30pm.
