Centre of International Modern Art (CIMA) Kolkata was opened in 1993 by ABP Ltd., the leading media group of culture of India. Architect under the guidance of art galleries and museums of London and New York, CIMA has emerged as a main art center of India. CIMA Kolkata has over 90,000 sq ft of gallery space along with a comprehensive database and publication facilities. It holds many interdisciplinary interaction workshops as well as seminars attended by number of scholars, artists and other international personalities. Having won several critical and popular acclaim both in India as well as in abroad, CIMA houses products that ranges from rare wall hangings to delicately carved handbags. Carpets, mirrors, Brassware, Bastar sculpture, costumes, jewellery and many other art works are also displayed in this art center of Kolkata. Works of many well-known artists like M.F Hussain, Bipin Goswami, Amitava Das and many others are also housed by CIMA.
