Yuvraj is one man who is known to wack the cricket ball as hard as possible and that too all part of the ground. Apart from that one of the most energetic fielders that Team India has been gifted within the last decade. A part time slower medium orthodox bowler that is willingly bowling as an when the team requires and at the same time able to make those vital break through when most needed. Yuvraj Singh is one of India most gifted players and moreover his spirit and conviction rise above others and his battle with cancer and back to the field proves that the sportsman in Yuvraj was not made but indeed genetically born in him.
EARLY LIFE- Yuvraj had a much disciplined Childhood with his father Yograj. At a young age itself he showed his inclination towards the games and extra circulars. Yuvraj wanted to play any other sport expect Cricket. It was on the insistence of his father that Yuvraj started playing cricket. His father represented India as a fast bowler and gave Yuvraj the early training in the game. Yuvraj Dad’s home in Chandigarh was Yuvraj training ground where he learnt and played the game for almost hours and even going to midnight under the netted space and beaming halogens. He learned the game and developed an insatiable interest that has accompanied him even to this day. His parent eventually divorced after which Yuvraj choose to stay with his mother Shabnam.
STYLE- Yuvraj is also one of the mot minute observers of the game and has been known for his fitness and high level of exuberance that he has well bought to time and again in his game. His aggressiveness is also one of the most controlled and at the same time well employed weapons in his armory and this has reflected in his batting strike rates and the propensity to take wickets and to contribute as an all rounder. His sportsman attitude has time and again amazed one and all. Probably one of the toughest phases that he had to deal with was being diagnosed with cancerous tumor. But he fought this malignant illness with grace and with confidence. In a way his spirituality also played a vital part in his cure and has been with him and help him reach the success he has achieved in the field.
CAREER- Though he started his career against a team like Kenya he proved his brilliance as player in the Under 19 World cup in 2000 and consistent domestic performances that led his entry in to the team for the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy held in South Africa. He chipped in with consistent performance all throughout his ODI career and took this forward to the shorter format of the game. He earned his recognition as a good finisher providing stability to the Indian Batting lineup at numbers 3,4, and even 5 for that matter. Being an Aggressive stroke player that he is Yuvraj was able to achieve considerable success with the bat and went on to star in many games for India.
However he also proved his proclivity with the ball in more than one situation starring in almost every game that he bowled. Finally no one forget that fielder that Yuvraj is. With fielding capability Yuvraj has proved time and again to be one of the fastest and most acute fielders in the world irrespective of the fact that he is fielding at point or in the covers. He has started for India whenever it matters most be it with his batting performance in his debut tournament, his success against teams like Pakistan and Australia the Inaugural t20 world cup or the 2011 World cup where he was named main of the tournament.
VULNERABILITY IN TEST- Probably one of the most vulnerable points of his overall international career has been his inability to replicate the success he achieved in India colors into the white flannels (Test Cricket). Many experts and analysts believe that is one of the lowest points of his career. However in the situation given Yuvraj did perform well but has been able to sustain his performance and hence has been neglected in the past for selection. Had he had made use or sustained his performance in the longer format of the game Yuvraj would have certainly earned the tag of a complete player.

CRITICISM AND CONTRIVERSIES
Though Yuvraj has also been linked by the media because of his flamboyance and high partying attitude he has also been labeled for the same. However at most lengths he has avoided controversy in all means of the ways. The only criticism that Yuvraj came under his career his test performances that many believe did not match a player in the standard of his caliber.
Personal Life- Yuvraj is one of the most eligible bachelors and has continued to be the heart throb of the nation. He was diagnosed with cancer and completed his treatment and returned back to the country. Yuvraj in way expressed his desire to help cancer patients in the best way possible and for that he has been able to garner much support and following. He has kept himself involved cancer Programs and projects and has been an active part of spreading the message of hope and preservation even in the most toughest situation. He returned back to cricket in the T20 match against New Zealand after completing his treatment and scored a quick fire 34 out of 26 in India.
The king of Hearts Yuvraj Singh has been more than just a cricketer who has won matches for India but has led by a strong and unfailing example of resilience and character. Indeed this is what makes him who he is and renders his character a great cricketer and undoubtedly one of India’s best but at the same time a great and perserverant human being with an infidel trust in the power of the unseen.
