Ranbir Kapoor is a heartthrob of the youngster. The trending youth icon that has created vibes with his performances and has with his performances asserted himself as the rightful heir to the fourth generation of the Kapoor Family.  His ability to churn good performances has certainly stood in good stead and he is game for more.

Ranbir Kapoor Early life- Ranbir Kapoor was born on the 28th September, 1982 in Mumbai to actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. His family his Punjabi by origin and his sister is Riddhima Kapoor. He is the grandson of the greatest film maker in the Indian film industry Raj Kapoor and is the nephew of actor Randhir. Coming from a family of film stars it was but natural that he was attracted and had a passion rather than a fascination for acting.  He attended the Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. For him acting was a passion and that prompted him to take up acting seriously. For this sole purpose he joined the prestigious Lee Strasberg acting school in New York and enrolled for a course in method acting.

Ranbir Kapoor Career- Ranbir Kapoor Career  was started with  Saawariya but way before that Ranbir started off with two short films mainly  Passion to Love (2002) and India 1964 (2004). Apart from that he also assisted director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film. Hence in 2007 Ranbir got his big break when he started with the same director and was cast opposite another new comer in the industry Sonam Kapoor. The film however failed miserably and was a disaster at the box office. Ranbir however returned the next year with Bachna e Hasseno that started co stars Deepika Padukone, Minissha Lamba and Bipasha Basu. The film did fairly well at the box office. However 2009 marked his coming of age with a string of good performances that include Wake Up Side  Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

These Films not only bought him critical acclaim but were ranked as the top films of the calendar year. He followed it with Rocket Singh: Salesman of the year that was accepted by Critics but was and average grosser at the box office. In 2010 in went to start in yet another grossing film Rajneeti. However Anjaana  Anjani which was a moderate success. However he was showered with praises for his role in Rajneeti  and his characterization.  He followed with another hit in 2011 with Rockstar. His riveting and apt portrayal of a rock star musician was well accepted by audiences and critics alike. His recent film Barfi raised one step ahead. The film starring the actor and new comer Ileana D’cruz and Priyanka Chopra and directed by Anurag Basu opened to positive openings and spectacular reviews.

Ranbir Kapoor Upcoming movies- Ranbir Kapoor Upcoming movies are eagerly awaited not only by his fans but also critics as well. His upcoming films for the next year include Yeh Jawani he Dewaani and Besharam are slated for the next year. While the first film is in the stage of filming the other film is still under pre production. Another of film that has  been announced include  Bombay velvet.  There was also an announcement of a biopic on the life of Kishore Kumar directed by Anurag Basu, but this is yet to be officially announced.

Ranbir Kapoor personal life-  Ranbir Kapoor lives with his parents at Pali hill Bandra, In 2008 he announced in an Interview that he was dating his startlet co star Deepika Padukone.  However the couple broke in 2009.

Ranbir Kapoor Controversies-  Ranbir  Kapoor in his short stint in Bollywood has not be free from gossips columns and tabloids. In the starting of his career he was linked with actress Deepika Padukone. However the biggest controversy involving the star was when the star was publicly when the actresses Deepika Padukone and  Sonam Kapoor stated in an interview that  spoke ill of Ranbir. This prompted the actor’s father to make a statement and was almost snowballed into  an unwanted  controversy . However Ranbir maintained a restraint silence.
