Mahesh Babu Early Life- Mahesh Babu Ghattamaneni was born on 9th August, 1975 to cine actor Ramesh Babu Ghattamaneni and Indira Devi. His elder’s sisters are Padmavati and actress producer Manjula Ghattamaneni.  The actor spent most of his childhood with his paternal grandmother in Madras.  Mahesh Babu did his schooling at St. Bede’s High School, Chennai and then obtained a honorary Commerce Degree from the Loyola College in Bangalore. The actor started acting at the tender age of 4. He was later seen in films such as Poratam (1983), Sankharavam (1987), Bazaar Rowdy (1988), Mugguru Kodukulu (1988), Gudachari 117, Koduku Diddina Kapuram (1989), Balachandrudu (1990) and Anna Tammudu (1990). Mahesh Babu acted in seven of his father's films as a child actor.

Mahesh Babu film Career- In 1999 the actor made his comeback however this time in the lead role in the film Raja Kumarudu. He followed this with films like Yuvaraju (2000) and Vamsi (2000). He bagged the Nandi special jury Awards for the movie Takkari Donga (2002) where he essayed the role of a cowboy. In the same year he followed the role of Bobby. However a landmark film as far as the actor was concerned remains to be Orkadu that released in 2003. This film saw the actor bag the coveted best actor Awards from both Filmfare and Nandi.  In 2004 he followed it up with Naani that was co produced by his sister Manjula and his brother Mahesh Babu.

For his emotional performance in Arjun (2005) the actor won the Nandi Special Jury Award.  This phase is also considered as one of the best in the actor’s career as he went on to star in films Athadu (2004) and Pokri (2005). The latter went on to become the highest grossing films .After this he was applauded for his performance for Sainikudu (2006), Athidi (2007) and Khaleja (2010). His next release Dookudu went on to become a block buster hit and broke mny records in the process.  He next appeared in Businessmen (2012) which went on to have the largest opening collection for a Telegu. The actor has emerged after Rajnikanth as the highest paid actors.

Mahesh Babu Personal life- In 2005 the actor married actress Namrata Shirodkar after and five year long courtship. The couples married in 2005 and have two children Gautham Krishna and Sitaara Ghattamaneni. Contrary to reports the actor is not an introvert but an outgoing person maintaining a good connect with people around him. He loves eating out and also travelling and at the same time. Apart from being under the limelight the actor has been low key about his personal life.  He is also extremely health conscious and also give adequate importance for fitness.
