Being at the helm of one the best private conglomerates in India he is credited with having pioneered financial innovations in the Indian capital market. He was one of the driving forces of the company specially in terms of gaining  international public offerings in the world market. Though it must be said that he lost a considerable of money in the late recession he has not succumbed to the same but is even strong to face the challenges that lay ahead. Anil Ambani Early life- Anil was born to Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani on the 04th June 1959 in Mumbai. He is also one of the most highly educated billionaires in the world today. He did his bachelor’s in Science from the University of Mumbai and then he pursued a MBA from the prestigious Wharton University.
Anil Ambani Business Career- Anil Ambani joined Reliance in the 1983 as the Co Chief Executive Officer.  He has also pioneered in initiating many financial innovations in the Indian capital market, some of which were leading India's first forays into overseas capital markets with international public offerings of global depositary receipts, convertibles and bonds. Under his leadership Reliance has been raising around US$2 billion from the overseas financial markets, since 1991. Under his leadership the 100 year old Yankee Bond was also renewed. The two Ambani’s were responsible for taking the Reliance group to the next level through their efforts and expanded their domain in textiles, petrochemicals, power and telecommunications proverbially asserting Reliance’s place as a global conglomerate.
Anil and Mukesh Ambani Dispute- Probably this is one of most important juncture in the career of both brothers. Anil and Mukesh were said to be bitterly embroiled in controversy over the supply of gas. This dispute led to the split of the Reliance Group. After which Anil Dhirubhai Ambani founded the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group.

Apart from that Anil Ambani was elected as an independent member of the Rajya Sabha under article 84. He is also a vegetarian. The Ambani brothers today rejected allegations by Arvind Kejriwal that they had parked black money in HSBC Bank in Geneva and denied that they had any accounts there.Strongly denying the allegations, Mukesh Ambani-headed Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) said neither the company nor Mukesh Ambani has or had any "illegitimate" accounts anywhere in the world."As part of normal business, international subsidiaries of RIL deal with several global banks including HSBC.
