Akshay Kumar is one actor that has tasted both success and failure and in the same way and has emerged as one of seasoned actors the journey has not been easy for the actor. He is known to have delivered as many as 7 hits and at the same some of his most bankable films have also bombed at the box office. But his dedication and impeccable character and dedication to better himself has made him a bankable and effective actor.

Akshay Kumar’s Early life- He was born on the 9th September, 1967 in Amritsar, Punjab to his father who was an army officer. His mother’s name was Aruna Bhatia.  He showed his provability  in performance at an early age itself and was bought up in the famous Chandi Chowk area of Delhi before moving to Mumbai. His family settled in the Koliwada area where there are is a majority of punjabi residing in the area and attended St. Don Boscos and then Khalsa College.  However he forced to leave his studies and did not waste time and went to Hong kong to train in martial arts and in this time worked as chef and waiter. However he returned to Mumbai and faced utter disappointment in terms of his roles.

Akshay Kumar film career- Akshay Kumar film career was not on expected lines and at such was one of the most disappointing for an actor. The roles did not fit him or consolidate him as an actor. He began his journey as adopting the screen name and entered the industry. His first films were really disappointing and as such the road ahead look very bleak for the actor. His debut and first few films were not that successful. He made a name and mark for himself with the film Khiladi. This cemented him as an actor and actor and made an impressionable mark on the industry. He achieved this without the name of a star family and godfather to launch him. His films afterwards did well at the box office but were not that comprehensive enough. With films like a series of 'Khiladi' movies including the "Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi', Akshay became the quintessential "action hero'. But with 'Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi', 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and 'Aflatoon where he experimented with genre in acting. He did a couple of  films , however films like Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri marked him out of the action genre.  He followed this up with effective performances and "Khakee, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', "Aitraaz, Waqt', 'Awara Pagaal Deewana', "Garam Masala' to the recently released "Phir Hera Phiri' and films like Singh Is King, Welcome. However of late his film have not done that well in the box office expect for Desi boys and Rowdy Rathore.
