Samir Jain early Life- Samir Jain was born on the 11th March 1954 to Ashok Kumar and Indu Jain .He belongs to the important industrial family of Sahu Jain which owns the Times group. He earned his Bachelors in Arts from the prestigious St. Stephen College in New Delhi. 

 

Samir Jain Business career- Samir Jain took over the reins of his father’s company in the year 1982. He was often found to state that the Bennett and Coleman Company was one of the most innovative companies. In the early part of his career he focused more on developing the company through a series of innovative ventures that were not tried out in print media corporations till the time. The liberalization policy of 1991 was a decisive point in his career. He sensed the need of the times and developed fitting a marketing strategy that was aimed to gratify the immediate desires of the Indian audience through his publication. His business proposition was simple and direct “connect sellers of goods to the vast market of consumer.” He was also responsible for dispensing the post of sub editor in the media industry.  His tenure also saw the growth of the publications of the Times Group and also the diversification of the group into broadcasting.
