HDFC Mutual Fund is considered amongst the best mutual funds of the country. The mutual fund managers are HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd (HDFC AMC). HDFC AMC was incorporated on 10th December, 1999. Since then there has been no stopping to the growth of the company. In 2003, it acquired Zurich Insurance Company (ZIC) and all the business of ZIC was then granted to HDFC AMC. The company has also been into portfolio management. It has ample numbers of individual investors and portfolios to manage.
As on 31st December, 2012, it had assets amounting to INR 102, 000 crores to manage.
