Established in the year 1937, Asutosh Museum of Indian Art, Kolkata is located in the Centenary Building of the Calcutta University. For those wanting to study or doing research on Bengal's artistic heritage, this is the place to be. The museum houses rare collections of art forms that are unique to the state, including Bengal patachitra paintings, 'katha shilpo' art etc. It is a place worth visiting if you are a true lover of art and if you are visiting Kolkata. It is opened from Monday to Friday between 11am to 5pm and is closed on weekends.
