The Goverment Musuem in Chennai is one of the oldest musuem in Chennai and it is also considered to be among the Top 20 Musuems in Chennai and it is not only one of the oldest but also one of the largest musuem in Chennai. The Musuem has a great and rich collection of Archaelogical and Numismatic collections. It also has the largest collection of Roman antiques and sculptures. Within The premises of the musuem National Art Gallery and Colossal Musuem Theatre which is very impressive. It also has a great collection of artwork of Raja Ravi Verma. This worth visitng musuem is closed on Sundays and public Holidays and on rest of the days it is opened between 10am to 6pm.
