Dr. Rai Memorial Medical Centre was established in the year 1962 by Dr. K.M.Rai, after his retirement from the service as Professor and Head of the Department of Barnard Institute of Radiology at the Madras Medical College in Chennai. Today the centre has emerged as a fully fledged 40 bedded hospital with all modern equipments and facilities like the state of the art Linear Accelerator, Telecobalt therapy, Brach therapy,  Mammogram, Ultrasound, X ray, CT Scan, Pathological/ Clinical Laboratory and Operation Theatre.
