Ultramarine & Pigments Limited specializes in the manufacture of inorganic pigments, organic surfactants and dry mix detergents. It has two manufacturing plants, one at Chennai and one at Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The Company’s principal products and services include ultramarine blue, synthetic detergent cakes and synthetic detergent powder. It has four divisions: pigment division, surfactants division, wind mill generation and information technology (IT) division. Its pigment products include ultramarine blue and violet, and mixed metal oxide. Its surfactants include linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid (LABSA), alpha olefin sulphonate, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium lauryl ether sulphate and fatty acid combo soap. Its detergent product includes dry mix detergent. The Company has investments in a jointly controlled entity Lapiz Inc.
