Tata Metaliks Limited operates in the Blast furnaces and steel mills sector. The Company is engaged in the manufacture of pig iron. Its products include pig iron-foundry grade, scrap-pig iron and granulated slag. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company produced 492,024 million tons of pig iron, and .50 million tons of hot metal. During fiscal 2010, it had an installed capacity of 650,000 million tons of pig iron. The Company's plants are located at Kharagpur in West Bengal and Redi in Maharashtra. During fiscal 2010, its Kharagpur and Redi plants produced 306,000 and 200,022 tons of hot metal, and 301,874 tons and 19,62,678 tons of pig iron, respectively. During fiscal 2010, the Company sold approximately 469,080 tones of pig Iron in the domestic market. On March 09, 2010, the Company started its operations in Dongarpal Prospecting License.
