Tata Coffee Limited is engaged in the operations relate to coffee and other produce consisting of growing of coffee, pepper, tea and other plantation crops and conversion of Coffee into value added products, such as roast and ground coffee and instant coffee. The Company is also in the business of Curing operations of coffee and trading of items required for coffee plantations. The Company operates in four segments: coffee and other produce, tea, estate supplies division and others. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011 (fiscal 2010), the Company produced 1,670 tons of Arabica, and 8,290 tons of robusta coffee. During fiscal 2010, the Company produced 7,501 tons of cured coffee; 5,616 tons of instant coffee; 418 tons of R&G coffee; 7,504 tons of tea, and 963 tons of pepper. During fiscal 2010, the Company exported 4,819 metric tons of coffee.
