Suryachakra Power Corporation is a Hyderabad-based independent power producer. It was established in 1995. The company manages 20 MW diesel-based power plant at Bamboo Flat, Port Blair. The plant is in operation since 1993 at approximately 70-75% of its capacity. The plant was set-up in technical collaboration with world class leaders: Caterpillar Power Ventures, USA and Reliance Energy. The Company focusing on entry into Urban infrastructure development activities and also had signed MOU with Zecon Engineering Berhad, Malaysia. Suryachakra is also entering into Bio-diesel Sector in big way. It is granted Power Trading license by Central Electricity Regulatory Authority for carrying out inter state sale (trade) of power.
