Saurashtra Cement was formed in 1956 and is one of the leading players in the Indian cement industry, manufacturing Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and Sulphate Resisting Portland Cement (SRPC). The company has large export markets in the Middle East countries, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012 (fiscal 2012), the production of clinker and cement was 1.14 million tons and 1.26 million tons. During fiscal 2012, the total sale of cement and clinker was 1.26 million tons respectively. During fiscal 2012, the Company exported 0.27 million tons of cement and clinker.
