Maharashtra Polybutenes Limited was formerly known as Herdillia Polymers Ltd and was incorporated in 1988. The company manufactures and sells single product polyisobutene (PIB). PIB is an industrial chemical used in the manufacture of lubricant oil, jelly filled cables, impulsions, as well as in formulation of engine oil for two strokes engines. The company has a plant located at Navi Mumbai and it is based on technology from FINA TECHNOLOGY Inc, USA. The plant can produce up to 9000 MTPA of various grades of polybutenes. The company takes into consideration the feedback of its users and works in co-ordination with them. Maharashtra Polybutenes Ltd reported sales of INR 742.39 million (US$13.51 million) for the fiscal year ending March of 2012.
