ING Vysya Bank was founded in 2002. The Bangalore-based private bank with retail, wholesale and private banking platforms formed from acquisition of a majority stake in Indian Vysya Bank by Dutch ING Group. This merger marks the first between an Indian bank and a foreign bank. The ING Group currently holds a 44% equity stake in ING Vysya Bank. The bank provides services like accounts & deposits, NRI services, loans, wealth management, FOREX, internet banking. The bank has assets totaling INR 487.3 billion ($8.9 billion) as of June 30, 2012 and operates a network of over 1,000 outlets, including 527 branches, which service over two million customers.
