Indian Overseas Bank was incorporated on 10 February, 1937. The company provides a host of services which includes granting of loans, mutual funds, corporate banking, NRI accounts, mobile and internet banking, etc. The company had more than 2650 domestic branches, 3 extension counters and six branches overseas as of March 2012. The bank has an ISO certified in-house Information Technology department, which has developed the software that 2650 branches use to provide online banking to customers; the bank has achieved 100% networking status as well as 100% CBS status for its branches. The bank has doubled its business in the last four businesses by introducing new and innovative products. The net profit for the year ended March 31, 2012 stood at INR 1, 050.13 crore while the Total income stood at INR 19, 578.13.
